Once upon a time, more than just book reviews used to appear on this blog. Though it used to be just my own meandering opinions, I received some really great comments and fun replies to these kinds of posts. So, without further ado, I wanted to do a small update post!
My presence has sadly been weakened here on the blog in the past month, but not for any bad reasons (and no, the blog is not coming to an end)! For the past six weeks, I have been settling into my job as an Inventory Analyst at Indigo! Though enjoying myself immensely, I do come home every day, put on my fleece pjs, eat dinner, crawl onto the couch, put a pillow on Jay and pass out hard. After months of interning, this is a big change for me and my brain has been slowly processing the switch from social media, mailing and publicity outreach to my new main concern: sales figures and inventory reporting. Yet, the change is welcome in my life as I have been longing for a sense of responsibility for months and watching/learning and predicting trends and sales is actually quite fascinating. Not to mention that my co-workers are phenomenal and definitely the nicest support a newbie could ask for. Oh, and they bake. Ahhhh!
Aside from my daily duties, I have had the opportunity to write for the Indigo blog! So far, I have interviewed two fabulous authors, Toronto’s own, the lovely Grace O’Connell and one I hold dear to my heart, Alma Katsu. I have got to meet and review the wonderful Chris Cleave and admit to my inner nerd for the Kids blog talking about the Scholastic series, Dear Dumb Diary.
I have a nice Excel spreadsheet going now with upcoming posts and I can’t wait to share them all with you! I have also undertaken two challenges: 1) catch up to my fellow teen-book-lovers at work and read all of Cassandra Clare’s books and 2) start (and finally finish) the Harry Potter series! I am setting no deadlines as this gives me a total of fourteen books to read. So, let’s just say, this is not a timely goal!
Hopefully you all have been having a fantastic few weeks! Hello to all the new followers and thanks for sticking around to all my favourite regulars (you know exactly who you are!) Stay tuuuuuned.

Yayyy so glad you’re back on the blog! Missed you!
Ooh, such ambitious goals! Can’t wait to share our reviews of both HP and Cassandra Clare’s books!
Hope you’re doing well :)
xx
Seems like you got some pretty cool writing gigs!
I love these kinds of posts :) I’m also in love with your desk at work! Yay for a Brave poster! Your job sounds really exciting! I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the blog and good luck on your reading goals!
